Sertã Shale Paths

13-11-2020

Route 3 of Sertã consists of 10.1 km circular that start next to the Basic School of the 1st Cycle of Quintã. In total, it should take about 4 hours to complete the route in which one of the challenges will be uphill and downhill. The highest point of the route is 339 meters above average sea level and the lowest point is only 125 meters above average sea level.

Along the way you can find places worthy of your attention. Just 330 meters from the starting point you will find Casarão da Quintã. A construction that dates back to approximately 100 years. The story goes that the house belonged to a noble owner of most of the land that currently corresponds to Quintã. A little further on you can contemplate the fantastic Chapel of S. Bento.

In the middle of your adventure and in order not to get discouraged, you will find Moinho da Ribeira where the beauty of the landscape will restore your energy. It is also a great place to stop and regain your leisure by taking advantage of the swings that are on site. Finally, to finish in a big way, just 2100 meters from the end of the route you will find a beautiful and calm lagoon.

We challenge you to venture down the paths of this route and come to relax at our Hotel at the end of the day.
